Lars started his career in environmental supply chain work in 2000 working with a small consulting firm. In 2004, he moved to China to get a deeper understanding of Chinese industry.
Since 2006, he has lived in Hong Kong, from where he headed up H&M’s in Environmental Global Supply Chain Program for more than five years. At H&M, he took the lead for ZDHC work, was involved in developing the Bangladesh Water Program PaCT, and managed WWF’s Partnership program for water in the supply chain.
He was also involved as a Subject Matter Expert in the development of the Facility Module of the Higg Index.
Before founding GoBlu, he worked as the Global Sustainability Manager for Production at Lindex, where he still works as an external consultant.
He brings a unique perspective, with a wide spectrum of experience from production and supply chain consultancy to brand-level work. He has a wealth of experience working the textile supply chain, focusing on wet processing in Europe and Asia, where he has been involved in multi-stakeholder projects with both governments and NGOs. Lars has an extensive network encompassing brands, academia and industry platforms, as well as wet processing experts from all parts of the industry.
Lars believes strongly that the key for solving sustainability issues is to bring industry players together to develop solutions that address the needs of retailers as well as supply chain partners.
